Lights, Camera, Museum

We had a fantastic evening filming at Hertfordshire’s Lowewood Museum. We were filming for their new short film “Absolutely” . One of the great things about the Hoddesdon based museum is they not only make you welcome but also make every visit fun.

Close up of new sculpture by Valerie Inns inspired by a residency with Astro Lighting for The Gibberd Gallery ‘s current project: Arts Means Business.  The sculpture has been created using plaster, one of the materials used by Astro in their lighting product range.  The work in progress will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at Gibberd Gallery, alongside work by …

Early Night

Even after a long day filming there is always the prospect of a pleasant surprise. I was running late and stopped for some quick bits at Tesco in Harlow at just the right time.

Coasting

We’ve been on the Kentish coast filming this week, and were fortunate to spend some time in Broadstairs. Great town, and the sun was out. The Unexpected Delights

Snapped this while filming in London. Not quite a Tardis but it’s definitely an old police phone box. Always brightens the dullest of days when you come across the unexpected.

Escape to the Country Without Leaving London

On Kingstreetimages’ first day of filming at Forty Hall Estate the lake was frozen over and the ducks were skating and skidding across the ice. But they seemed to be having a great time of it, as we were once we’d warmed up with a cappuccino from the Nice Green Cafe. The winter sun melted the ice and we were …

Connor Slides into Action

Here’s Connor Terrey-Hamill from St. Mary’s CE High School, Cheshunt behind the camera at Forty Hall & Estate last week. Connor has been working with Kingstreetimages as part of his Professional Learning Programme. He’s back working with us this week on a new film.

Mud in your eye…

Last day filming for our film about a boy and his boat. It’s amazing where the mud gets in to. Not sure if we spent more time cleaning off our kit than shooting the final shots.
